About the event
3.5 years ago I took up sea swimming, facing my fear of the sea and open water. After 2 years in a wetsuit I started swimming in skins - just a swimming costume, but haven't managed a whole winter in skins just yet, and I always have on thermal neoprene socks, thermal neoprene hat PLUS two silicone hats ontop, with thermal neoprene gloves. In very cold weather I also wear rly neoprene swimming costume.
This year I aim to show off my bag, which I have only done in public twice in my bikini, by wearing just a bikini throughout the winter season of October to May...the water will be dipping to as low as 4 degrees. It marks the first public event in which I will be showcasing my bag, which feels quite nerve wracking actually as people will no doubt look.
